X3 daytime running lights that stop working
The DRL on a G01 X3 can fade, flicker or go out completely, on one side or both. The low beam may still work, so it is easy to miss until someone points it out.
The light and its driver sit inside the sealed headlight, so there is nothing to swap from outside.
Melted DRL modules on 2018–2021 X3s
When a DRL module runs hot for long enough, it can melt and take the light with it. Opening the headlight shows a module that is discolored or deformed.

Both of my DRLs are out. Is it the headlights or a fuse?
Check fuses and fault codes first. If both are fine and the lights stay dark, the fault is usually inside the headlights.
Will the repaired DRL match the other side?
That is the aim. If the other DRL is also fading, send both so they come back as a pair.
