Cracked headlight repair vs. tape and resin
Tape or a resin kit is a temporary fix for a broken headlight cover. It can get you home, but it does not seal the headlight.
Water and dust get in through the crack, the inside fogs up, and the beam scatters. A taped lens can also fail a state safety inspection.
A lasting repair replaces the damaged part and seals the headlight again.

Can a broken headlight be fixed after an accident?
Often, yes, if the housing and the inner parts can still be saved. Photos of the front, the back and the mounting points let us tell you in your quote.
Can you fix headlight spider cracks?
It depends on how deep they go. Fine surface crazing is cosmetic, and we do not offer that work. Cracks that run through the lens need a new lens, and that we do.
Should I ship the pieces that broke off?
Yes. Keep any broken tabs or pieces and pack them with the headlight.
